Just five more days!
Weight: 160 (still) :(
Breakfast: Oatmeal
Lunch: Salad
Dinner:
I'm getting discouraged again. I totally get why people aim for the rapid weight loss kinda diets. Once you're stuck at a certain weight for a few days (and you've been eating decent and working out), you kinda start feeling like it's not worth it or something. Like you're doing all of this different stuff and it's not changing anything. But I'm trying not to let it get to me. Really right now it's more about how I feel, not about the number on the scale, although I do still have a goal weight I'd like to reach.
Today at lunch, I tried a Jillian Michaels DVD that a friend at work loaned me. It was ok, but I don't like it as much as the other one I'm doing. I think hers was a bit too much for a beginner. It's supposed to target trouble zones or something. Oh well. I think I'll stick to mine...I got a really good workout on it the other day and I'm still sore from it!
Back to work...
Leslie..... you are doing good girl! When you are loosing the healthy way you will probably not drop weight quickly. I noticed your day #5 was 162 and day #10 was 160... thats two lbs in 5 days... thats a great accomplishment. I haven't lost any but its probably because i'm lifting weights now and building muscle. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteLeslie, hang in there. Do not give up!! You are doing great. Most victories that will last start with small steps. Just take one day at a time.
ReplyDeleteThe day will come and boom you will see the numbers drop.
Just stay focused. Stay positive...
You are a inspiration to me.
Most rapid weight loss doesn't last. Don't give up. Slow and steady will win this race. It will likely take a good deal of time. When I'm struggling with how slowing I'm dropping weight, I remind myself that I didn't previously gain 10lbs in 2 weeks...at least I sure hope I didn't... ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Alice and Shelly!
ReplyDeleteNathan, that's a good point...thanks!
